This cemetery is behind the old homestead of Nazrie & Jack Jacobs on Piney Woods Road.  Piney Woods Road is heavily Jacobs, from Rhynes Crossroads to Highway 421.  Descendants of James Owen Jacobs and Octavia Williams live in this section.  New 2023 research is raising the question of whether the 1700s & 1800s Jacobs ancestors lived "up on Cypress" (several miles north through the woods, off of Shiloh Road which is parallel to Piney Woods Road) or actually possessed their early land in Piney Woods/Rhynes Crossroads.

The cemetery is maintained by family members and is an active burial ground.
